Ebonite hosts training camp for aspiring women professional bowlers

HOPKINSVILLE, Kent. - Aspiring women professional bowlers are being given the opportunity to hone their skills in preparation for the professional tour thanks to the new Ebonite/PWBA Training Camp program. The four-day Training Camp will be held from April 7-11, 2002, at Ebonitešs Galaxy Lanes in Columbia, Tenn. (just 30 miles south of Nashville).

The first of its kind, the preseason Training Camp is targeted to independent professional bowlers extending from rookies to seasoned veterans. The program will provide attendees with the tools to maximize their game as well as their career. Bowlers will benefit from seminars provided by experts from the bowling world, sports medicine, sports management and media training. The seminars will focus on the following topics:

Self-Marketing to Gain Sponsorship Opportunities
Health and Fitness
Ball Surface Management
Sports Psychology
Ball Layout and Fit
Ball Review and Selection
Ebonite Tour Programs
and Media Training and Publicity

To wrap up the Training Camp, Ebonite is hosting The Ebonite Quad-Regional PWBA Tournament from April 13-14 at Galaxy Lanes.

The cost per attendee is $1,000, which includes:
Expert coaching and informative seminars
10 Ebonite bowling balls drilled to specifications
Double occupancy accommodations from April 7 - April 13th
Meals (Lunches for four days during seminar and dinners from April 8 - 11)

and, Opportunity to sign an incentive contract with Ebonite for the 2002 PWBA National Tour season.
