This week's high school bowling report

On January 30th the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Michigan High School Bowling Conference shot some very good scores at Sterling Lanes.

First place DeLaSalle won all 30 points from South Lake in the varsity division as they shot 1083 (the high team game for the season) and 1044 for a total of 2127 (high team series for the year). Patrick Traynor had 247-241 for 488 which is the high individual series for the year. Jim Wenson added 215-249 for a 464 series (the second high for the season). Team members Trevor Hartshorn and Anthony Bonk chipped in with 409 and 404 respectively. Second place Roseville defeated East Detroit 26-4. Donnie Stiffler had a 250 game and 433 series for Roseville and Allen Couture had 244-415. For East Detroit Eric Skibbe had 227-212 for a 439 series and teammate J Gray rolled the second high game for the season, a 253, and had a 411 series. In the other varsity match Lincoln beat Cousino 19-11. Justin Gajewski had 217 and 201 for 418 for Cousino.

In the varsity girl's division East Detroit retained their position in first place with a 19-11 win over Cousino. They were down in the first two games but came back to win the two Baker games to win the match. Jessica Carter, of Cousino, was high for this match with 306. South Lake remained one game back in second place when they defeated Lincoln 19-11, Kati Craven had 324 and Chelsea Rivard 322 for South Lake.

The JV competition continues to be a two team race. DeLaSalle defeated South Lake 28-2 to remain in first place. Steve Mikishko rolled the high series for the year, a 456, on games 220-236. Roseville beat East Detroit by the same 28-2 score. Sal Garrisi had 397 which included a 234 game. In the other match Cousino defeated Lincoln 16.5 to 13.5. Jay Gramlich led Cousino with 361 which included a 224 game.
