| Feldman edges Weber for BWAA Bowler of the Month honors November 1, 2001 Michelle Feldman was selected Bowling Writers Association of America Bowler of the Month for October by a select panel of the organization, BWAA President Fran Deken announced today. In consecutive weeks last month, Feldman, a 25-year-old right-hander from Skaneateles, N.Y., won her second Professional Women's Bowling Association championship of the season and eighth of her career at the Three Rivers Open in Pittsburgh, and she placed second at the Hammer Players Championship in Rockford, Ill. Pete Weber of St. Ann, Mo., was a close second in balloting in which six different bowlers garnered first-place votes. His 26th Professional Bowlers Association title at the Great Lakes Classic in Grand Rapids, Mich., tied him for sixth all-time in career victories with two fellow PBA Hall of Famers, his legendary father, Dick Weber, and Don Johnson. |
