ABC staffer Michele St. Marie to speak at sports conferencece in Utah American Bowling Congress Director of Marketing Alliances, Promotions and Events Michele St. Marie will be a featured speaker at the Sports Travel MagazineTEAMS 2001 Conference and Expo Oct. 24-27 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. Considered to be the premier conference on sports event management and travel, the conference will feature more than 30 guest speakers who will make presentations on 18 topics. In her current position, St. Marie is responsible for directing support staff and leading the planning and management of marketing campaigns, meetings, events, conferences, community outreach and cause-related promotions. She also serves as a merchandising vendor liaison, a staff liaison on assigned board committees and facilitates action of strategic initiatives. "It is an honor to be part of this conference," St. Marie said. "Through my experience with ABC I want to share my formula for success in creating a dream career in sports and travel." St. Marie brings a wealth of experience to her current position with ABC. Prior to working for ABC, she held several management positions in the events area of Bowling Inc., a shared services provider for ABC, the Women's International Bowling Congress, Young American Bowling Alliance, USA Bowling and the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America. Prior to her positions with Bowling Inc., she was employed as a customer service supervisor for Comair/Delta Connection Airlines in Milwaukee. She also was a part-time instructor within the business department of the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Additionally, St. Marie has held positions as an event coordinator for a Milwaukee area retail sporting goods store and travel and event coordinator for a sports tournament and tour operator. She is a graduate of Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee with a B.S. in business management and a certificate in sales and marketing.
